Hello fiends. And friends. And fans (we know there are at least a few of you). We have been shitty about keeping in touch. I, as usual, blame Dave. Yes, ladies and inferior sex persons, this is your bovine balladeer, Derk, the commander of Arnold Palmer (my beautiful Yamaha stick thumping machine) coming at you from beautiful Missoula, Montana. Lo, it has been some time since we’ve brushed underpants, but I am back to inform you of just what the fuck is going on in the world of herman. Most recently we toured the west coast, though that was back in October of last year. We started here, ended in L.A. then came home. It was neat. Since we have written some new originals with the Count and Cale who doth hail from Conrad, MT. And we’ve played some pretty fuckin’ awesome shows in Missoula. And we played the PBR Montana band of the year competition at the Other Side in Missoula and were chosen to go to the finals. Eight of twenty-four bands made it, and we will be finalling off, so to speak this Thursday, March 6th at the Other Side. Our time slot is 11:25 p.m. and the winner will be announced that night. Come down and give us a hand, if you would. 50% of the vote comes from the fans in attendance so get your asses down there and let’s have a good time!

In other news, our book, the hermans: stalking america, has been in bookstores now for about 5 months and is selling pretty well, as we have been told, about 8,000 copies so far. If you don’t have one, check your local bookstore, Barnes & Noble, or Amazon.com. It is outrageously full of good times, sad times, bad times and rad times.
